Specification
Implementation Profile for DVB-I in Germany
Binding specification for the introduction of DVB-I in the German market | Meta: V1.0.1 & V1.1.0, English
The profile defines the technical requirements for implementing DVB-I services, from service discovery and the program guide to the playback of linear and non-linear content. The specification is aimed at device manufacturers, platform operators, and broadcasters implementing DVB-I-capable end devices and services in Germany. The profile was developed by the members of the DVB-I Task Force. It is part of the official DVB-I Book.
Two versions are currently available: Version 1.0.1 is the maintained base version with minor updates and corrections, relevant for the devices available today. The new Version 1.1.0 expands on this with additional features and addresses the DVB-I device generation that will come to market from 2027 onward.
